HISTORICAL PORTRAITS

So far, only two films have been made... but three more are coming!

Teenager in 1941, oppressed resident of occupied Paris, Bernard was one day forced by the Vichy regime to go to an anti-Masonic exhibition... a visit which made such a good impression on him that a few years later, he entered Freemasonry. This journey, a precious historical anecdote, is above all a beautiful proof that even under the worst propaganda, it remains possible to think for yourself. It is also to echo Bernard's snub to Pétainism that I illustrate his point with Vichy propaganda images... including the (in)famous conspiracy film "Forces occultes". The most borderline movie buffs will appreciate it!

- 2015 : THE FATE OF MAURICE TEBOUL, FRENCH SOLDIER IN WWII (44 min.) -

At 92 years old, a  French veteran of WWII  remembers his stories of war, and what led him to fight.
Actually: fortuity! And this film, the only historical documentary I have directed so far, is there to explain how, and to make the viewer thinking about the weight of will in face of history. Also it for once gives the floor to a simple soldier during all a movie, wich is quite rare but not unpleasant!
Maurice, a good looking and venerable veteran, cordially invites you to share his memories... from the darkest to the most pleasant.
